            I’m full of fear inside

            Wondering who’s on my side

3Day Boston 2011

I've been involved in breast cancer walks in the past with different friends and family for 1day events.  When I heard about the 3Day I was scared to sign up.  My feelings ranged from... OMG, I can't walk that far!  To, 3days?I'm too busy to commit to 3days.  But when i realized that my new found friends were traveling to multiple states and participating in so many 3Day events, I realized others sacrifice so much more…

A little about my 3-day

As I opened the email that confirmed that I had indeed just signed up to walk 60 miles in 3 days, I began to sweat. My stomach dropped & I literally started to sweat. I don't think I had ever had an actual panic attack until that moment. It wasn't the distance that scared me, it was the MONEY. That amount seemed so incredibly out of reach. The Komen 3 Day… you hear people mention it. You see the slogans that all pretty much say: 60 miles, 3 days, $2300, all to help find a cure. But what is it really? Is it some mythical creature that only super humans even attempt?

The Komen 3 Day Walk for a Cure is 60 miles of hope, promise, inspiration, healing, and an experience that will forever change your life for the better.
